Job Title: Database Administrator (Oracle, SQL Server & Others)

Overview:
Our banking client is seeking an experienced DBA to support an enterprise-scale data migration programme. The ideal candidate will bring multi-platform database administration expertise (Oracle, SQL Server, and other major platforms), with proven experience in data migration and a strong understanding of security and compliance controls in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage, maintain, and optimize multiple database platforms (primarily Oracle and SQL Server)
* Plan and execute large-scale data migrations across on-prem and cloud environments
* Apply security best practices and implement database-level access controls
* Collaborate with InfoSec and infrastructure teams to ensure regulatory compliance
* Monitor database performance, ensure high availability, and manage backup/recovery
* Provide input on architecture, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Strong DBA experience across Oracle, SQL Server, and ideally PostgreSQL or other platforms
* Hands-on experience with enterprise data migration projects
* Deep knowledge of database security principles, encryption, auditing, and access control
* Experience working in regulated industries, ideally financial services or banking
* Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Shell, Python)
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
Desirable:
* Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or OCI)
* Experience with DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code for DB deployment
* Familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.g., OEM, SolarWinds, Redgate)
