Overview
A fast growing practice that operate predominantly in the Residential sector, are currently seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their Birmingham city centre based office.
The practice is a RIBA chartered Architectural practice that has been in operation for close to 10 years, delivering high quality projects within the Residential sector. They have grown at a sustainable rate and are now looking to take the company to the next stage with the appointment of an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist. The company operates solely out of Birmingham, with a team of 12 people made up of Architects, Architectural Technologists, and Architectural Assistants.
The Senior Technologist will join a technically focused team in a practice that encompasses housebuilder work, high rise property such as apartments and student accommodation, one-off new builds and more. The candidate should have extensive experience in the Residential sector, with 5–10 years in the area. The practice is expanding into Commercial and Industrial sectors, so experience in these areas would also be ideal.
The practice uses AutoCAD as the main software package, with Revit integrated into the company. Revit experience is desirable, and proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
Located in Birmingham city centre, the role is easily commutable for those living in Birmingham and surrounding areas. Parking permits for the Jewellery Quarter will be offered to the successful candidate. The practice prefers in-office presence five days a week, with flexibility to discuss childcare or other needs.
The Role – Senior Architectural Technologist
The role requires approximately 10 years of industry experience, with the bulk in the Residential sector. The candidate should be technically strong with a focus on RIBA Stage 4 onwards. The Senior Architectural Technologist will work autonomously and as part of a team, and may lead the overall team on occasion. Project running experience is required, along with experience leading a small team through the technical stages of projects.
The practice uses AutoCAD and Revit predominantly; AutoCAD proficiency is essential and Revit experience is desirable.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Degree in Architectural Technology or a HNC/HND in a related field
* CIAT accreditation (desirable)
* At least 5–10 years of industry experience
* Residential experience essential, with at least 5 years in this area
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, with Revit as an added benefit
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Eligibility to work in the UK
In return, you will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package dependent on experience, likely in the region of £43,000–£48,000.
