Our Tax Project Team is seeking a Private Tax Manager to focus on Tax Advisory / Planning Project work. You will play a pivotal role in our continued success, assisting managers and directors to provide taxation advice to clients, supporting your teams in the delivery of their work, and ensuring that operational objectives are met. You will ensure compliance and quality standards are maintained, identify client needs, provide proactive support and advice, adhere to our client care programme, and ensure client relationships are within our legislative framework, compliance and quality standards.
This is an ideal role for someone who would like to be more involved with helping clients achieve their goals through tax planning and analysis. Prior experience in these types of planning is not necessary; the key attributes we are looking for are willingness to learn and a desire to help clients find the best solutions. The advice you could expect to be involved with includes:
* Inheritance tax planning
* Remuneration planning
* Incorporation of businesses
* Capital allowance reviews
* Capital Gains tax advice
* International tax planning
What You’ll Be Doing
* Delivering all elements of a tax project, with supervision (review) by your manager or director
* Training assistant team members, including regularly reviewing their work to ensure that client requirements are actioned
* Managing your workflow and client expectations, using your specialist knowledge and skills to add value
* Developing working relationships with clients and assisting in all aspects of the company’s relationships with them to maximise yield and performance
* Identifying areas of risk and viable opportunities for both current clients and potential clients
* Where appropriate, initiating and taking an active role in business development by promoting our full range of services to clients (cross-selling)
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Possessing either partial or full CTA, ACA or ACCA qualifications or experience in a Tax role
* Demonstrated proficiency in collaborating within a team environment
* Must have UK Accounting / Practice experience
* Must have UK Private Tax compliance or advisory experience
* Robust communication and interpersonal skills
