Overview

Join to apply for the Veterinary Surgeon - Lynton House Vets role at IVC Evidensia UK.

For over 70 years, Lynton Vets has been at the heart of the Woking community, proudly caring for generations of pets and the families who love them. We’re now looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated and welcoming team, where building strong relationships with clients and providing exceptional patient care always come first.

About the Practice

Our purpose-built hospital-standard practice in Woking is thoughtfully designed to give both pets and their owners the very best experience. From separate cat and dog waiting areas and consult rooms including a designated cat consultation room and a large, private bereavement suite, to spacious prep areas, two theatres, dedicated imaging and lab spaces, and comfortable wards, every detail has been created with care. We’re proud to offer modern facilities such as ultrasound including VVS scans, digital and dental X-ray, multiparameters, and the option to refer when needed. You’ll also find plenty of space for yourself too, with a dedicated office for admin work and a large staff room with its own kitchen.

Role and Responsibilities

No two days are the same here. Our vets enjoy a healthy balance of consulting and surgery, with procedures ranging from routine neutering and lump removals to soft tissue surgery. We’re flexible and happy to shape your workload around your strengths and passions, whether you prefer a consult-only or surgery-focused role.

Team and Support

Our experienced team includes seven Veterinary Surgeons, ten Registered Veterinary Nurses, student nurses, ANAs, and a friendly reception team. Our RVNs run their own clinics and provide essential support in theatre, post‑operative care, dispensaries, and client communication, allowing vets to focus on patient care. We actively collaborate with a visiting orthopaedic specialist and support local and national charities including Cats Protection, Guide Dogs, and Dogs Trust.

Development and Learning

Your professional development is important to us. We offer funded CPD, time to study, and encouragement to grow, including opportunities through the IVC Evidensia Academy and certificate support. All vets and nurses have access to Vetlexicon and research funding opportunities.

Work-Life Balance

This is a full-time position, working four days across 40 hours, with no out-of-hours commitment. You’ll join a 1:4 Saturday rota 8:30am–4:00pm with time back in lieu. Part-time hours are considered for the right candidate. While the main site is in Woking, occasional travel to Addlestone and Bagshot branches will be part of the role. Self-contained accommodation is available at our Bagshot practice for those relocating.

* 6.6 weeks annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays, with additional birthday holiday entitlement
