The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Specialist, who will be at the heart of ensuring accurate and efficient payroll and pension processes for our diverse range of clients. You’ll navigate a variety of payroll cycles with precision, maintaining compliance and delivering excellent client service.
Responsibilities
* Manage the full payroll cycle, including annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly payrolls for UK employees.
* Ensure precise and timely Real Time Information (RTI) submissions and year-end processing for HMRC compliance.
* Handle statutory deductions and administer employer pension schemes, maintaining strict adherence to UK payroll and pension legislation.
* Cultivate strong client relationships, resolving payroll-related inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
* Maintain confidentiality while adhering to data protection standards.
The Payroll Team follows a hybrid working pattern, with in-office days on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The remaining days are flexible (home or office).
The Team & Culture
Payroll Team leadership: Payroll Director Chloe Hughes. The team comprises 22 professionals, with a culture described as friendly, supportive, inclusive, and collaborative. You will report to a Payroll Manager.

* Salary is dependent on level and experience with market-based bandings; discussions will occur early in the process.

To Thrive In This Role, You’ll Need
* Considerable experience in a busy payroll role
* Strong knowledge of UK payroll processes, tax regulations, and pension auto-enrolment legislation
* A detail-oriented approach with excellent time management skills, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
* A positive team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel
Desirable
* Experience with Paycircle payroll software
* Experience working within a payroll bureau environment
