Sociology Teacher Required for a Secondary School in Stockton-on-Tees
A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to join its successful Humanities and Social Sciences department from September 2026.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Teach Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5
* Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage critical thinking and discussion
* Monitor, assess, and support student progress to ensure strong outcomes
* Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
* Play an active role in the wider school community
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement
* Inspire students to explore contemporary social issues and develop a deeper understanding of society
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants should possess:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in Sociology or a related subject
* Experience teaching Sociology at secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the social sciences
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* A commitment to inclusive education and student success
* The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
