Overview
Aspire People is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at a primary school in Aston. This long-term, ongoing role starts immediately and involves working with children aged 4-11 in small groups and occasionally 1:1. The successful candidate must be comfortable providing personal care when needed and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Supporting children with SEND in small group settings and 1:1
* Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support
* Assisting with personal care where required
* Helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment
Requirements / Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with children with SEND (in school or similar setting)
* Patient, nurturing, and adaptable
* Comfortable and willing to assist with personal care needs
* Available to start ASAP and commit to a long-term role
* Have (or be willing to obtain) a DBS on the update service
