Job Title: Participation and Engagement Operative
Reports To: The Designated Partner/CEO
Position Overview: Coach Operative for participation and engagement. This is an exciting new team role within a dynamic and forward-thinking equestrian organisation to develop and implement opportunities for engagement and development using equine engagement and intervention across our courses and programs. The role involves helping to implement and develop programs for a wide range of ages and abilities, ensuring high standards for horse and rider welfare and progression. The role requires availability for two evenings a week, one weekend day, over a five-day working week. There are excellent opportunities for further training, qualifications, and development, including participation in a new pilot for coach enhancement awards. The working hours will be between 10 and 40 hours per week, with paid holidays and pension contributions. Skills required include being a qualified equestrian professional with a keen interest in using various techniques to improve the lives of humans and animals. A practical assessment of coaching and horse care skills will be part of the interview process.
Essential Job Functions:
An experienced Lead Coach who is/has:
* Qualified to a minimum of BHS Stage Three in Complete Horsemanship (BHSAI) /or similar
* An active member of the BHS Accredited Professional Coach (APC) scheme
* A genuine interest in enabling successful development/progression of all participants through an inclusive coaching approach
* Experience in training, teaching, supervising, or supporting individuals/groups within their participant cohort
Requirements:
This role involves developing and implementing engagement and development opportunities using equine engagement and intervention across various courses and programs. The candidate should be eager to help develop our programs for a diverse range of participants, ensuring high standards for horse and rider welfare and progression.
