Nursery Room Leader – Worthing & Brinsbury Nurseries Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | 37 Hours per Week | Shifts Between 7:30-4 or 9:30-6
Prospero Teaching is delighted to be working with two welcoming nurseries in Worthing and Brinsbury, each offering a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to grow, explore, and thrive. Both settings are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their friendly teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a nursery room supporting children from birth to five years old. You’ll help create a space where every child feels safe and inspired to learn through play-whether they’re taking their first steps or preparing for school.
About the Role
As Nursery Room Leader, you’ll take charge of a dedicated team, guiding them in delivering high-quality care and play-based learning across all nursery age groups. You’ll be a role model of warmth, professionalism, and creativity-building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Your days will be filled with sensory exploration, imaginative play, and milestone moments-all within supportive nurseries that value your expertise and passion.
1. Locations: Worthing & Brinsbury
2. Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
3. Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
4. Shift Patterns: 7:30am-4:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm
5. Pay: From £ per hour
6. Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm
Key Responsibilities
7. Lead your nursery room team with confidence, kindness, and professionalism
8. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities for children aged 0-5 years
9. Maintain consistent routines and a safe, hygienic environment
10. Observe and record developmental progress across all age groups
11. Communicate effectively with parents and carers
12. Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are upheld
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
13. Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
14. Have experience working with children from birth to five in a nursery setting
15. Are confident leading a small team and supporting colleagues
16. Bring a gentle, nurturing approach to your work
17. Understand the EYFS framework and child development across all early years
18. Communicate clearly and kindly with families and staff
19. Have solid literacy, numeracy, and basic IT skills
