Job Description
Working as part of the Measurement Solutions Internal Sales team in conjunction with Outside Sales, Product Managers, and Sales operations colleagues in the UK and BU. The primary function of the role is to handle medium complexity inquiries and turn Requests for Quotations into Orders by providing customers with the best technical and commercial solutions based on the Measurement Solutions product portfolio.
This role supports account owners in the sales country to help achieve overall bookings targets by delivering high-quality customer service, adhering to Think Customer principles. We look forward to your application!
Responsibilities:
* Identify customer needs, understand complex technical requirements, liaise with customers, sales teams, factories, and other departments, and determine the best solution.
* Size and configure products according to specifications, application fit, documentation, testing requirements, lead-time, and budget.
* Create quotes in Oracle, assist with technical recommendations, and submit proposals to customers accurately and on time.
* Verify purchase orders align with the technical and commercial proposals; resolve any technical issues.
* Contact customers via email, digital platforms, or phone; collaborate with Outside Sales to engineer and understand customer requirements and sales strategies.
* Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements regarding Trade Compliance and Ethical Business.
* Perform other tasks within your skills and abilities as reasonably instructed.
Candidate Profile:
You are detail-oriented, results-driven, and thrive in a dynamic environment. You are passionate about quality, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excel in building effective collaboration and communication.
Requirements:
* Proactive, dedicated, self-motivated, and goal-oriented sales professional.
* Ability to communicate at technical and commercial levels to resolve customer issues.
* Proficient in English at a business standard.
* Digital literacy, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
* Demonstrates Emerson Values and Causes.
Preferred Qualifications:
* HNC/Degree in engineering or technical field, or proven industry experience.
* Experience with product and business systems like Oracle and CRM systems is advantageous.
