3 Month Contract With A Local Authority Job Purpose We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Carpenter to perform a wide range of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills along with experience in multiple trades such as drywall, painting, flooring, basic plumbing, and electrical work. This role requires versatility, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Perform rough and finish carpentry work including framing, doors, windows, cabinetry, and trim Install and repair drywall, ceilings, and partitions Carry out basic plumbing tasks (fixtures, leaks, fittings) Perform basic electrical work (switches, outlets, lighting – as permitted by regulations) Install flooring (tile, laminate, wood, vinyl) Painting, patching, and surface finishing Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently Identify materials, tools, and equipment required for jobs Ensure work meets quality, safety, and building code standards Maintain a clean and safe work environment Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades as needed Requirements Proven experience as a carpenter or multi-trade technician Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials Working knowledge of multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring, etc.) Ability to troubleshoot and solve on-site issues Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Valid driver’s license (preferred) Trade certification or apprenticeship (preferred but not mandatory) 3 years of experience in carpentry or multi-trade work
