Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive both academically and personally? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Manager to join our secondary school in Blackpool from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced pastoral professional or an aspiring candidate looking to make a real difference in students’ lives within a supportive and forward-thinking school community.
The Role
As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a key role in promoting student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding. You will work closely with Heads of Year, senior leaders, families, and external agencies to ensure every student is supported to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on pastoral care for a designated year group
* Monitor and improve student attendance, behaviour, and punctuality
* Provide targeted support for vulnerable students
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
* Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers
* Contribute to safeguarding and child protection procedures
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with young people in a school or similar setting
* Be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
* Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and a proactive approach
* Have a good understanding of safeguarding and pastoral systems
* Be committed to inclusion and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
