Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, generalist advice service covering welfare benefits, debt, employment, and consumer rights. Your work will help vulnerable people to improve their quality of life, achieve their goals and make a very real and positive difference to their lives. You will attend community hubs across the district, whilst working with all our partner agencies across the sub region in relation to providing support. The post is office based.
Qualifications
You will need to have four GCSEs, grade B or above, to include English and Maths, or equivalent. Experience of working within delivering structured support to clients, including providing welfare benefit advice or for example assisting clients with budgeting is essential. You will have a working knowledge of all available benefits and an understanding of debt management, employment and consumer law. With strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills, you will be customer focused, proactive and creative in finding solutions whilst being capable of working on your own initiative as well as effectively within a team.
