Security Officer Residential Facility
Location: Kent, TN29 9
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Average of 42 hours per week, Days & Nights)
Shift time - 07:00 -19:00 or 19:00 -07:00
We are seeking dedicated and professional Security Officers to help safeguard a youth residential facility. This vital role ensures a safe, secure, and supportive environment for minors, while working collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the safety and security of minors within the facility.
* Monitor access control systems and verify visitor identification.
* Conduct routine patrols to maintain a secure environment.
* Collaborate effectively with on-site staff and external professionals (e.g., Social Services, Councillors).
* Respond swiftly to emergencies, acting as Fire Marshal where required, and liaising with emergency services.
* De-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally.
* Maintain accurate, timely incident reports and security logs.
Requirements
* SIA Door Supervisor Licence Essential
* Enhanced DBS Desirable (will be processed and paid for if successful)
* Basic understanding of safeguarding Desirable (training provided)
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
* Confident, calm, and professional approach to conflict resolution
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
