SEN Early Years Practitioner – Poole
Pay: From £ per hour Start Date: ASAP
Prospero Teaching is delighted to be supporting a warm, inclusive early years setting in Poole. They are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or 3 qualified) to join their team and provide high‑quality support for children aged 0-5 with a range of additional needs.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development, with a particular interest in supporting children with SEND, including Autism, Speech & Language delay, sensory needs, and social‑emotional development.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an SEN Early Years Practitioner, you will:
1. Support daily routines and learning activities within the early years environment
2. Provide nurturing, individualised support for children with additional needs
3. Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting
4. Assist in planning and delivering age‑appropriate, SEN‑focused activities
5. Encourage children’s communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
6. Work closely with colleagues, SENCOs, and external professionals
7. Communicate positively with parents and carers
8. Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
9. Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
10. Have experience supporting children in an early years or SEN setting
11. Bring warmth, patience, and a child‑centred approach
12. Understand the EYFS framework and early child development
13. Communicate clearly and kindly with families and colleagues
14. Are reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
Requirements
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
15. Have the Right to Work in the UK
16. Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
17. Provide two professional references from the past 24 months
18. Be available for full‑time hours, Monday to Friday
