Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a specialist manufacturer, supplying a range of industries with turnkey bespoke solutions based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area. The successful candidate will be joining an established design office using Solidworks.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview
Producing technical assembly designs & manufacturing drawings with the use of Solidworks 3D modelling software
Liaising with customers on design parameters
Assist in the research and development strategy for the company and partake in hands on product development as may be requested.
Ensuring designs are within the required legal framework
Producing designs and renders for sales purposes
Liaise with Purchasing to ensure the technical specifications are fully compliant and agreed for each contract.
Reporting to the head of design
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements
HND qualified or similar within a Mechanical, Electrical, Design or Civil Engineering related subject
Proficient with Solidworks, or similar 3D modelling software
Full UK Driving License
Based in a commutable distance of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
Strong communication & relationship management skills
2+ years of experience within a Design Engineering role
Mechanical Design Engineer Salary & Benefits
£35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position
