Job Description
* Complete maintenance to high standards, ensuring any issues are either immediately repaired or logged for future revisiting.
* Operate with safety in mind at all times, dynamically risk-assessing all jobs to ensure safety of yourself and others.
* Build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across departments, supporting operational teams where possible.
* Monitor site performance to ensure effective operation, understanding terms like availability and performance, and measuring these using various means.
* Be proactive and punctual, providing value within working hours, and seeking continuous improvement.
* Create documentation for major breakdowns/outages, using root cause analysis and best practices.
* Support in maintaining the site’s budget by working efficiently, repairing and testing equipment for future use where possible.
* Maintain administrative records, ensuring the CMMS is up-to-date and reflective of the site’s maintenance status, and complete shift reports to a high standard.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 3 banks of 3 days on days (06:00-18:00), 1 bank of 4 nights (12 days, 4 nights)
The Successful Applicant
An experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance/Automation Engineer, ideally with warehouse/logistics experience, with:
* A recognized qualification in Engineering.
* Understanding of PLC and SCADA systems is desirable.
* Proficiency in automation software and programming languages.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A detail-oriented approach focused on quality and efficiency.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
