Job Summary / Purpose
As a qualified Occupational Therapist, you will operate autonomously within a robust framework, adhering to professional codes of conduct and ethics while managing a complex caseload. Your role will encompass clinical activities across diverse settings, ensuring you provide tailored interventions to enhance your clients’ quality of life. You will be a pivotal resource for the department, contributing specialist knowledge, engaging in service development, research, and more.
What You Will Do
* Contribute to designing referral processes and assess the appropriateness of received referrals, making informed decisions about delegation.
* Manage your caseload efficiently, adapting to changing clinical presentations and patient circumstances.
* Drive coordinated care planning, lead teams, and allocate responsibilities.
* Employ specialist assessment and intervention techniques to enhance clients’ occupational performance in various life areas.
* Use your judgement in multi‑disciplinary diagnostics, selecting appropriate evaluation methods.
Requirements
* HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
* Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
* Demonstrated experience in UK Hospital or NHS settings
* Community experience is essential
