We support service users in the following locations across Hertfordshire.
WORK LOCATION:
Hemel Hempstead, Borehamwood, Potters Bar, Bushey, Berkhamsted, Tring, Markyate, Stevenage, St Albans, Hertsmere. We welcome applications from drivers based in and around these areas.
Pay Rate: £14.60 - £16.00 per hour plus 30p mileage.
Shifts work across seven days a week:
* DAY - 06:00/7:00 am – 2:00 pm
* EVENING – 2:00 pm – 10:00/11:00 pm
Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities
Our Care Professionals are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet, and support with medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.
Helping clients overcome mobility problems and physical disabilities, including care of aids and adaptations.
Assisting with domestic tasks such as making beds, tidying, light cleaning, laundry, and emptying commodes.
Supporting with personal care, including washing, bathing, and toileting, while maintaining dignity and privacy.
Helping with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, and assisting with feeding if required.
Assisting with medication administration as per care plans.
Additional duties include:
* Providing companionship and engaging clients in activities and outings.
* Monitoring health and reporting changes.
* Supporting mobility and safety.
* Encouraging social inclusion and emotional well-being.
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety protocols.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members.
Qualifications
No formal experience required; we value compassion, communication skills, resilience, and a willingness to learn. A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential, especially in rural areas. You must have the right to work in the UK.
