We are partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Compliance Assistant for their Manchester office. In this position, you'll play a key role in the ongoing support of legal compliance while contributing to the smooth running of critical business processes.
This role would be suited to a recent law graduate with a keen interest in compliance or an individual with existing law firm compliance experience, ideally bringing a drive to succeed alongside a client-focused organisational approach.
The responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing and verifying AML documentation and information
* Conducting client and matter research to ensure compliance
* Assessing and validating information provided by fee earners and support staff, and advising on required documentation
* Responding to compliance-related queries and providing guidance
* Carrying out conflict of interest checks using the Intapp Open database
* Building knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct, particularly in relation to conflicts of interest and confidentiality
* Assisting with the resolution of conflicts of interest and related matters
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
