Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Hospital Team in Wales.
Daily tasks will include:
Communication
* Maintain appropriate relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team and Mental Health Act Administrators.
* Communicate sensitively and effectively with service users.
* Communicate with a wide range of health service personnel, including clinicians, nursing, medical & social care professionals, and those at a senior level within the Directorate, as well as outside agencies and organizations including Solicitors and Independent Mental Health Advocates.
Hearings
* Power of Discharge Group members will attend hearings as panel members to review detention/Community Treatment Orders, following training.
* Ensure grounds for continuing detention or community treatment are valid.
* Formally record evidence, reasons, and decisions during hearings.
* Communicate decisions to patients and relevant parties.
Power of Discharge Group Business Meetings/Training
* Attend training sessions and quarterly meetings on legislation, case law, and practice updates.
* Participate in annual CPD events and provide feedback.
Organizational
* Maintain confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and hospital policies.
Note: Role covers Aberavon and Aberdare locations. A full UK Driving Licence is required.
All roles require an enhanced DBS check, covered by Rushcliffe Care.

Salary:
* £60 per session plus mileage at 45p per mile.
