This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to deliver high-quality DT teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Design & Technology, tailored to students of varying abilities. * Contribute to the development of a creative and practical curriculum that promotes innovation, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. * Prepare students for GCSE (and potentially A-Level) assessments, ensuring high standards of progress and achievement. * Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. * Work collaboratively with the department and wider staff team to support school initiatives and enrichment opportunities. * Build positive relationships with students, fostering a classroom culture of respect, curiosity, and effort. Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification. * Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is desirable but not essential. * Strong subject knowledge in areas such as resistant materials, graphics, or product design. * Confident in using workshop tools, machinery, and CAD/CAM software. * Committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing. * Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to classroom management and planning.
