Accounts Associate - Business Outsourcing Services

Overview
We are seeking a talented Associate to join our Business Outsourcing Services team in Beaconsfield. In this role, you will work with clients and their finance teams or bookkeepers, helping them with year-end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, and cloud accounting software support. You will also gain exposure to working with partners and senior staff. Progression within this team is fast, with responsibility from an early stage.
What will you be doing?
You will be providing services, advice, and solutions that make a difference, including supporting clients with their finance functions and adapting to their needs. You may participate in ad hoc assignments such as software implementation projects, cloud accounting software health-checks, and client secondments. You will receive internal training from the professional services learning and development team.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team to provide clients with a range of services including statutory accounts, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, software implementation and health-checks of their systems
* Develop an understanding of our clients and their businesses
* Keep your manager informed of issues and ensure work is completed to an agreed standard, recording work clearly
* Familiarise yourself with internal accounting software and other cloud accounting technologies
* Provide advice and solutions to clients in response to their accounting queries
* Use automation to improve efficiencies for clients’ finance function
* Prioritise tasks for your portfolio of clients while monitoring time against budget
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience working in professional practice
* Experience with statutory accounts preparation, VAT returns, and management accounts
* Commitment to completing the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification (or ACA where study has already commenced)
