Duties
include (but are not limited to):
1. Preparation of Irish tax returns for Partners and their connections
2. Preparation of UK tax returns for profits allocated to European partners from the UK, including forecasts achieved by modelling tax obligations, cash and profit allocations for new, existing and retiring partners.
3. Preparation or review of schedules and analysis for corporate and partnership returns;
4. Maintaining relationships with, and delivering analysis to international external tax advisors;
5. Improvement and automation projects
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
To be successful in this role, what are the:
Essential
6. Qualified in an appropriate tax or accounting qualification e.g. CTA (Irish Tax Institute) / ACA (Chartered Accountants Ireland) or qualified by experience.
7. Experienced in individual and corporate Irish tax return preparation, this experience may have been obtained in another professional services firm, in an accountancy practice where advice is given to clients, or in-house at another international business.
8. Self-starter, confident dealing with senior members of the organisation.
9. High level of systems/ IT literacy.
10. Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
11. Accuracy and good attention to detail
Desirable
12. Experience gained at a professional partnership operating across multiple jurisdictions would be ideal but is not essential.
13. Awareness of the tax issues likely to be encountered in international jurisdictions, particularly those in which the group operates.
14. Experience of UK Partnership Accounting and tax filings.
