The Senior Energy Engineer conducts facility site visits, analyzes customer situations, and develops plans for Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs). This role supports sales and operations in developing, procuring, and executing performance contracts. Our Smart Buildings aim to foster environments that are efficient, safe, responsive, and responsible.
As an Energy Services Energy Engineer, your responsibilities include:
1. Leading building retro-commissioning and conducting facility audits to identify FIMs and opportunities.
2. Participating in pre-sale activities to identify and qualify energy efficiency opportunities.
3. Collaborating with Siemens teams and external vendors on developing FIMs.
4. Analyzing blueprints, performing site surveys, and applying building energy simulation programs to model energy loads.
5. Performing industry-standard energy calculations and developing design concepts and schematics for FIMs.
6. Preparing financial models such as ROI, lifecycle costs, and internal rate of return, and collaborating on Smart Building solutions within Siemens Digitalization Strategy.
7. Mentoring less experienced staff in energy services.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience supporting energy services in the energy industry.
* Proficiency with ASHRAE energy calculations.
* Strong communication skills in English.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Valid driver's license, 21+ years old, with limited violations.
* Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
* CEM and EIT (FE preferred).
* Certification in commissioning.
Benefits and Compensation
Siemens offers comprehensive health and wellness benefits. The salary range for this position is $73,500 - $126,000, with an annual incentive target of 10%. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, and location.
