Full UK driving licence required.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Ensure a safe and secure environment for the DWP staff, visitors, and property.</li><li>Patrol the premises regularly to identify potential security threats.</li><li>Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.</li><li>Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.</li><li>Provide a high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors in any security-related matter.</li><li>Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.</li><li>Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations.</li></ul><h3>Security and Health & Safety</h3><ul><li>Look out for, and immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site.</li><li>Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.</li><li>Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.</li><li>Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.</li><li>Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.</li><li>Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.</li><li>Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.</li></ul><h3>What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)</h3><ul><li>Previous security experience.</li><li>Licence required: DS Licence preferred.</li><li>Full UK driving licence required.</li></ul><p>We are committed to ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible to all.
