SEMH Teaching Assistant £90 - £95 per day King's Lynn Do you have the patience, resilience, and passion to support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in King's Lynn. This is a unique opportunity to work in a setting where relationships matter, and every staff member plays a crucial role in supporting children and young people with complex needs. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to help students manage their emotions, engage in learning, and build the confidence they need to thrive. If you are interested in this role, APPLY NOW Key Responsibilities: Provide individualised support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) Assist in managing behaviour using positive and therapeutic approaches Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and supported Support teaching and learning activities in class, in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and self-esteem in students Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans and behaviour strategies Work closely with the wider team to track progress, celebrate successes, and adapt support as needed Help maintain a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment What we're looking for: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or in a SEN setting (school-based or similar) A calm, caring, and consistent approach to behaviour and emotional regulation Ability to remain patient and flexible in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment Strong communication and teamwork skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential - your attitude, empathy, and resilience matter most What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits.
