We are searching for an IT Governance Manager who will be crucial in driving the strategic and operational oversight of outsourced IT services. This role involves taking ownership of a newly implemented supplier relationship, overseeing multimillion-pound service contracts, and creating a refreshed IT strategy aligned with the organisation’s evolving needs. Our client previously operated with a fully outsourced IT model and has undergone significant transformation under the leadership of the outgoing ITG Manager. With a new supplier contract in place, this is a critical appointment to elevate service delivery, ensure accountability, and manage day-to-day operations with precision. Responsibilities Lead the operational governance of outsourced IT services, ensuring high-quality delivery across all functions Manage annual IT budgets of up to £5 million, including long-term planning and contract negotiation over a £15 million spend across five years Serve as the primary escalation point for the supplier, managing P1 incidents and overseeing resolution of P2 issues Oversee and manage a team of six direct reports, ensuring effective collaboration and performance management Develop and implement a new IT strategy from the ground up, aligning with organisational goals Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, identifying opportunities to drive value and ensure accountability Lead supplier relationship management, including contract renegotiations and strategic alignment Act as a key stakeholder liaison across departments to ensure IT services support broader business objectives Maintain governance processes to ensure compliance, risk management, and service excellence Provide expert advice to the Assistant Director of Digital Technology and Change on operational and strategic matters
