Overview
Hywel Dda University Health Board is inviting applications for a Theatre Recovery Practitioner to work in the Recovery unit of the Main Operating Theatres at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen. The role supports 24/7 elective and emergency theatre activity.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide recovery care for patients following elective and emergency surgery.
* Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota, including weekends.
* Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver evidence‑based care.
* Support theatre education through the Theatre Education Facilitator.
* Engage in structured induction and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
* Dynamic, enthusiastic, capable of working in a challenging environment.
* Willingness to work a 24/7 rota; availability for weekends.
* Strong communication skills; fluency or competence in Welsh is desirable, though English is sufficient.
* Demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care.
