Are you passionate about supporting students to overcome behavioural challenges and achieve their potential?

A School in Witham is seeking a dedicated and motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic team. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students manage their behaviour and emotional well-being, guiding them to develop positive attitudes toward learning and school life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide individual and group support to students who are experiencing behavioural challenges.
2. Develop and implement tailored behaviour management plans to help students improve their social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
3. Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to identify the underlying causes of behavioural issues and create effective strategies for intervention.
4. Support students in building positive relationships with peers and staff, promoting a safe and inclusive school environment.
5. Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates to staff and parents.
6. Promote the school’s values and a positive learning environment, reinforcing good behaviour and academic engagement.
7. Inspire the students to reach their full potential.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

1. Experience working with children or young people, ideally those with behavioural or emotional needs.
2. A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques, with the ability to apply them effectively.
3. A passion for supporting children with behavioural needs and helping them succeed.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
5. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
6. GCSE's grade C (pass) or above.
