Your role: As the Senior Static Equipment Engineer, you will have significant experience in pressure equipment engineering, responsible for delivering engineering deliverables, providing technical support, and managing equipment for JM Catalyst Technologies licensed projects.
Your responsibilities:
* Lead projects, ensuring outcomes meet standards, schedule, and budget.
* Manage cross-discipline responsibilities on static, heat transfer, and fired equipment.
* Design and review pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and packaged equipment for engineering packages.
* Prepare equipment technical specifications, data sheets, drawings, and requisitions.
* Evaluate vendor bids and support order placement with technical assessments.
* Review detailed design information and vendor documentation.
* Ensure integration of process data sheets, P&ID’s, and vendor documentation within projects.
* Support other departments with mechanical design issues.
* Mentor and develop junior team members.
* Perform other duties as reasonably instructed within your skills.
Minimum requirements:
* Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* At least 7 years of experience in process plant engineering and construction.
* Extensive knowledge of pressure vessel & heat exchanger design and relevant codes.
* Experience in equipment specification and design for chemical process plants.
* Proven ability to review vendor bids and documentation.
* Strong understanding of mechanical design standards.
* Knowledge of fabrication, metallurgy, inspection, refractory design, and heat exchanger thermal design.
* Membership of a relevant professional body.
