Location: EH52 5JZ, Broxburn, West Lothian, Scotland, UKWe are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individualto join our activities team at our exceptional nursing home Holmesview in Broxburn, West Lothian, working 30 hours per week over 4 days.Job PurposeTo provide activities for the residents in the nursing homeTo uphold residents rights to choice, privacy and dignityTo communicate information to relevant personnelTo keep up-to-date documentation as required by company policies and the regulating bodiesTo uphold residents participation strategyTo promote and show loyalty to the company and residents, both inside andoutside the nursing home and respect confidentialityTo treat colleagues with respect and ensure teamwork is goodMain Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo plan activities, taking into consideration the varying different needs andabilities of the residentsTo discuss plans with residents, eitherindividually or in groupsTo seek feedback, comments and suggestions at resident meetings and fromfamilies/visitorsTo meet regularly with Manager/Deputy to discuss plans and seek advice onfinancial mattersTo participate in Entertainment Committee meetings to set out longer termplansTo communicate with trained nurses/carers re intended activities and write inappropriate place, e.g. diary/communication bookTo feedback any concerns about residents condition to nursing staffWith agreement of senior staff, involve carers in activitiesCommunicate and negotiate outings with minibus driver, ensuring that correctresident : staff ratio is adhered to outside the homeTo comply with company policies and procedures and adhere to safe workingpracticesTo adhere to company uniform policyTo treat and use all equipment in a safe manner, keeping it clean and in goodworking orderTo attend staff meetings and training as requiredTo maintain correctly written records as required by the company andstatutory bodiesTPBN1_UKTJ
