Responsibilities
Min Y Mynydd Residential Home is looking for 5 x casual Care Assistants to provide care and support for older adults. You will be required to carry out duties to support residents in a dignified and respectful manner, promoting independence and wellbeing and adopt a person centred approach.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience of working with older people would be beneficial although not essential.
* You must have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity and choice.
* You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, possess a clear understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the post and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.
Hours and Rotation
Rota patterns of work are over a 7 day period. Approximate shift times are 7:00am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 10:00pm. There will be opportunities to work up to 35 hours per week. These hours will be worked on a rotating basis.

Requirements
It is essential that applicants are in receipt of / working towards Level 2 in care (Previously known as NVQ 2) or a willingness to achieve the qualification within a specified timeframe.
* The ability to work in partnership with residents, carers and families.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* The ability and willingness to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
