A fantastic opportunity has become available for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join an amazing school in Widnes. The school is seeking a hardworking, dynamic and patient Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has joined year 4 this term.
Your new role
In this role as a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with a child with Autism and speech and language needs. Daily you will be carrying out targeted interventions and supporting him with adapted lesson plans which have been carefully tailored to his needs. You will need to ensure that the pupils' needs are met and provide them with the necessary tools to complete day-to-day tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience of working with children either within or outside a school setting
* Ability to work on a 1:1 basis.
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching assistant qualification, ideal but not essential.
* Experience working within a classroom environment or a professional environment with children or young people
* Ability to work alongside children with SEN needs.
* Fun, positive and outgoing approach.
* Understanding of the EHCP is ideal but not essential.
* Current DBS or willingness to get one is necessary.
