Early Years Teaching Assistant - Catholic Primary School (2-Form Entry)

Veritas Education is currently recruiting a General Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in a warm, welcoming, and supportive 2-form entry Catholic primary school in the borough of Islington. The role:
You will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children in Nursery or Reception, helping to deliver engaging, play-based learning activities. You will support pupils both within the classroom and in small group settings, contributing to a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Early Years education and supporting children at a crucial stage in their development.
Teaching Assistant support for pupils:
Supporting children to access the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
* Encouraging communication, social development, and independence
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Acting as a positive role model and building strong relationships with pupils
* Supporting learning through structured and play-based activitiesTeaching Assistant support for teachers:
Assisting with the preparation and delivery of learning activities
* Helping to maintain a calm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
* Working collaboratively with teachers to support children's progress
* Supporting observations and classroom routines as requiredThe school offers:

Level 2 qualification (or relevant equivalent) is essential
* Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable
* Experience working in an Early Years setting within a UK primary school or nursery
* Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent)
* A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
* Willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the school
