As DHU's Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (BC & EPRR) Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our organisation is ready to respond to and recover from disruptive events. Working closely with the BC & EPRR Lead and the Accountable Emergency Officer, you'll help deliver effective plans, ensure compliance, and strengthen our organisation's resilience to protect patients, colleagues, and the communities we serve.
Location: Derby or Oldbury with some travel involved
Salary: £37,338 per annum
Contract: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

What your typical day looks like Support the development, maintenance and delivery of DHU's Business Continuity and EPRR frameworks.
Review, test and improve emergency and continuity plans across services, ensuring compliance with national standards.
Represent DHU at local and regional EPRR groups, building collaborative relationships with system partners.
Coordinate training, exercises and post-incident reviews, embedding lessons learned into organisational plans.
Provide expert advice, assurance and reporting to senior leaders on BC & EPRR performance and readiness.
To be successful in this role, you will need Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in emergency planning, business continuity or crisis management.
Experience working in an EPRR or related role within the public or healthcare sector.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and influencing abilities across all levels.
Knowledge of NHS governance, statutory emergency planning frameworks and risk management principles.
Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support during incidents.
Desirable: ISO 22301:2019 Foundation or CBCI qualification.
JESIP or Emergo Senior Instructor training.
Experience delivering EPRR training and exercises.
