Our purpose is to help consultancy leaders grow (and potentially sell) their consulting business.

We do this in three ways: by helping members improve their maturity by using our proven methodology; by giving members access to experts; and by providing a unique learning community.

We are a small team of 7 people, based in Guildford, looking after a community of around 100 consulting firms, all with an ambition to grow.


Role Description

The opportunity is to join a small but high‑performing team with a passion for helping consulting leaders grow their business. We will train you up in our content, introduce you to our many partners and equip you to be able to support our members. You will need to have a strong desire to learn about how to grow a business, and you will need to feel comfortable having peer‑to‑peer conversations with busy, ambitious leaders. Working directly with our highly experienced CEO, you will get the opportunity to significantly accelerate your learning about how to grow a successful business.

We are seeking a full‑time Account Manager to take responsibility for understanding client needs, building strong client relationships and ensuring their satisfaction and success. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include managing accounts, running assessments with clients, building action plans, making introductions to peers and experts and facilitating online and f2f discussion groups. You will serve as a critical point of contact for members, supporting their growth journey while identifying opportunities for further value creation. You will be expected to work from home for the majority of the time, attending our office in Guildford one day per week.


Key Responsibilities - Member Management

* Understanding the key challenges faced by members and helping them identify relevant solutions by recommending assets on the Growth hub or introducing experts that can help.
* Seeking to continually improve the member experience to create maximum levels of member advocacy.
* On‑boarding new members and conducting welcome calls.
* Identifying opportunities within the Network to make valuable introductions.
* Having regular roadmap calls with members to review how they are addressing their key challenges, identifying new opportunities for learning and making recommendations.
* Responding to individual requirements from members via email, WhatsApp and calls.
* Supporting the hosting of face‑to‑face events and facilitating member round tables.
* Selling memberships to prospective firms, mostly via Teams or by phone.
* Effective renewal/upsell conversations with current members, encouraging them to leverage services such as training and advisory services.
* Working closely with the Sales Director to manage campaigns.
* Maintaining an organised CRM system and pipelining/tasking accordingly.
* Managing & creating data lists to support campaigns.
* Actively get referrals from existing members to increase pipeline.
* Use social media especially LinkedIn to build and maintain relationships with potential and existing members, encouraging them to engage with TCGN e.g. attending an event.
* Able to relate to the challenges and pressures faced by business owners.
* Good at building rapport quickly, enjoys building relationships and helping people.
* Enjoys taking a structured approach to manage a large portfolio of members whilst being comfortable deviating out of process when in the interests of the member and the business.
* Minimum three years’ sales and account management experience.
* An ability and desire to learn, be that giving and receiving feedback or reading/listening to the latest thinking.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and credible with owners.
* Immaculate personal presentation and preparation when attending client meetings or events.
* Flexible attitude and able to do what it takes to succeed in a small business environment.
* Resourceful with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Self‑motivated to work remotely (1 day per week required to work in the Guildford Office)
* Good use of AI and Microsoft Office (includes PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
* Practical day‑to‑day experience of managing and using a CRM system, ideally HubSpot.
* Good understanding of the consulting market; a background of working with or within a consulting or advisory business.
* Curious about how we can leverage technology to increase efficiency and improve the member experience.
* Capable of adding value to the team through sharing of ideas to ensure we are continually improving the way we do things.


Package

£40k - 44k (depending on experience) plus bonus, plus pension contributions in line with regulatory requirements.

You must hold a current certificate for a Right to Work in the UK.
