Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to positively contribute to the patient experience and aid their recovery.

As one of our wards or department-based housekeepers you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding care to our patients by ensuring they receive receive care in a clean and pleasant environment.

You will do this in collaboration with the healthcare teams as a valued member of the team. We are also able to offer apprenticeships in customer care or food handling.


Main duties of the job

ou are responsible for ensuring that the environment and catering services are of a high standard and meet the needs of patients and visitors. The main focus of your role is to support patients’ nutrition and hydration intake through the provision of meals and beverages and to facilitate the maintenance of a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients. You will work with the ward-based team to ensure patient safety privacy and dignity and courtesy in accordance with Trust values.

* This will be a supporting role within ward and facilities teams across all inpatient areas
* To ensure all bed areas are prepared to the agreed standard prior to a patient's admission
* To promote culture of keeping the ward clean and tidy to enable domestics to clean and clinical staff to provide car
* The role covers seven days a week
* The role needs to cover the hours of 07.30-19.30 to meet the needs of the service

Qualifications

* GCSE level/NVQ 2 or equivalent
* 1 years experience


Skills
