General Responsibility
Reporting into the Regional Business Manager (RBM), (North or South) the objective of the Women’s Health Key Account Manager (KAM) role is to establish Exeltis UK as a true partner in Women’s Health. This is a full-time field-based role – must live on territory (Greater Manchester, Lancashire or South Cumbria)
The Women’s Health KAM will have territory level responsibility for product launches in WH and implementation of existing portfolio – Slynd, Xonvea and HRT portfolio.
* Slynd is a novel oral contraceptive pill that is “progestogen only” – a POP.
* Xonvea is the only medicine specifically licensed for nausea & vomiting in pregnancy (NVP).
* HRT portfolio – Femoston (oral combination) and Gepretix (branded generic micronised progesterone with a 30% cost saving to ISIS)
What you will do:
* Establish Exeltis as a true partner for women’s health across the UK.
* Plan, launch and promote medicines that come into the Exeltis UK portfolio.
* Use data and market insights to create and implement a strategic business plan at ISIS level.
* Execute the strategic plan to achieve sales, meet or exceed targets and efficiently manage the promotion of the portfolio.
* Ensure customer engagement is aligned with the strategic plan.
* Utilise a hybrid model of face-to-face and remote working to maximise opportunities and develop strong customer relationships across primary care, secondary care, and ISIS / CCGs.
* Deliver all necessary market access activities – there is no separate HDM role.
* Maintain a clear understanding of the developing NHS landscape and Women’s Health arena.
* Develop local advocates and deliverable meetings programme aligned to the business plan.
* Secure formulary and guideline inclusion.
* Provide insights into the business – to allow the development of appropriate sales, market access tools/materials, forecasting and training programmes.
* Be proactive in highlighting commercial or partnership opportunities.
* Contribute to team meetings and take accountability for shaping the team dynamic and spirit.
* Effective management of allocated budget and resources to drive the business.
* Maintain high standards of product knowledge.
* Complete all company administration and reports within guidelines and time scales.
* Conduct business in a compliant manner, adhering to company SOPs, industry standards and UK laws.
Customer base includes but not be limited to the following:
* Market access – formulary pharmacist, commissioners etc.
* GPs with an interest in female health.
* Consultants working out of CASH (Contraception and Sexual Health) clinics and secondary care.
* Other HCPs associated with both, including senior nursing staff. Specialist Pharmacists.
* Community Pharmacists. Community midwives. Obstetricians. Private clinics. PCN clinical directors.
Requirements and personal skills
* KAM experience preferable or demonstrable ability to engage with all levels of hierarchy within the NHS.
* Strong strategic business planning – demonstrate the ability to develop and execute a strategic business plan based on customer and market insights.
* Sharp data analysis skills.
* Highly proficient presentation skills both face-to-face and virtually.
* Comfort in flexing to a hybrid engagement model – adopting the right channel of communication for the customer and the situation.
* Experience securing formularies and a strong record of sales success.
* Launch experience.
* Strong understanding of how national and local NHS drivers influence local healthcare priorities and Women’s Health.
* A passion for the therapy area and a belief in the company vision.
