This role offers a hourly rate starting at £12.21ph and has the benefit of an immediate start.
We are looking for anyone interested in working as a Food Production Line Operative in the ready meal sector. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate production of meals, adhering to strict quality and safety standards. This role involves tasks like weighing, filling, and assembling ingredients, operating machinery, and packing finished products.
Key Responsibilities
* Production Line Tasks: Assisting with various production tasks on the line, including weighing, filling, assembling, and packaging ingredients.
* Machine Operation: Operating machinery and equipment to process and prepare food, ensuring it's functioning correctly and safely.
* Quality Control: Performing quality checks on products to ensure they meet standards, reporting any issues.
* Food Safety: Adhering to strict food safety regulations and procedures.
* Dispatch: Packing finished product into boxes.
* Kitchen: helping in the Kitchen department by mixing and preparing food in large batches.
* Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organised work area, cleaning equipment, and assisting with maintenance.
* Packing and Labelling: Packing finished products into containers and ensuring they are labelled correctly.
* Stock Management: Assisting with stock checks and ensuring adequate supplies are available.
* Teamwork: Working effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.
* Following Instructions: Accurately following instructions and adhering to production schedules.
Preferred Skills
* Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
* Basic Maths Skills: Ability to perform calculations and measurements as needed.
* Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
* Adherence to Safety Regulations: Understanding and following all safety procedures and regulations.
* Basic Understanding of Food Production: Familiarity with food processing equipment and machinery is a plus.
