The esteemed Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable midwife to join their specialist clinical team. The obstetric delivery suite at Royal Preston Hospital has 12 rooms with en suite facilities, water birth room and 65 beds. The suite includes a triage facility to ensure emergency obstetric problems such as abdominal pain and bleeding are identified and treated promptly. A dedicated obstetric theatre and ultrasound department ensures mums and babies can access the range of services they may need within the suite. Midwifery led care is also available for women at Royal Preston Hospital. Working flexible shifts throughout the day, night and at weekends to suit, you will be working at both Chorley and South Ribble Hospital and Royal Preston Hospital with mothers and their families, utilising various strategies to communicate effectively and ensure that they feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. Providing full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations, and screening Identifying high-risk pregnancies Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications Essential Be a registered midwife Up to date neonatal resus and CTG training certificates. At least 2 years post-graduate experience. 6 months recent NHS midwifery experience within the last 3 years. You will need to pass an enhanced background check.
