Our three‑year ICE‑accredited Graduate programme helps you build on your degree, learn, progress, and achieve your ambitions while making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
What you'll do:
* Work as part of a team on‑site, delivering challenging and complex geotechnical projects.
* Liaise with clients and a variety of professionals including principal contractors, consulting engineers, and other sub‑contractors.
* Work with our in‑house technical team to develop knowledge in most aspects of pile and retaining wall design, along with ground engineering techniques.
* Help us resolve design and development problems.
* Prepare estimates and bids.
* Be part of the team delivering design piled foundation schemes.
* Commit to the requirements of Skanska’s environment and health and safety policies.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Studying towards or having completed a Civil Engineering or Geotechnical degree.
* Flexible with locations as our projects are based nationwide.
* Values driven, passionate about sustainability and building for a better society.
* Enthusiastic to shape the future of construction with Skanska.
* Driving licence or work toward obtaining one within the first year to visit sites across the UK.

Rotations
You will undertake placements in different locations (site and office based across the UK). These range from 1 month up to 9 months. Additional allowances are provided to assist with the cost of staying away from home or relocating. Some office‑based placements can be carried out from home if desired. The rotational nature of this programme gives you exposure to an exciting portfolio of piling projects, from tendering to delivery, helping you become a well‑rounded engineer and achieve chartership.
