Full-Time Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Community School in Preston

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming community school in Preston. This is a full-time, rewarding position providing general support within a Year 1 classroom, helping pupils to thrive academically and socially.
Working Hours:
8:30am – 3:30pm (Full Time)
About the Role
You will:
* Provide general classroom support within Year 1
* Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum
* Support pupils in developing early literacy, numeracy and social skills
* Help maintain a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
* Monitor and report on pupil progress, liaising confidently with teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (essential)
* Have experience working within a primary school setting, ideally KS1
* Be confident communicating with teaching staff and providing feedback on pupil progress
* Demonstrate patience, initiative and a nurturing approach
* Be committed to supporting children’s academic and personal development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
