Overview
Duty and Assessment Team (DAAT) at Northamptonshire Children’s Trust (NCT) provide a single point of contact for safeguarding concerns. The team works at pace, completing robust short‑term assessments to ensure appropriate services are in place.
Team Structure
There are six DAAT teams, each led by a Team Manager and an Advanced Practitioner. Each team supports 5 or 6 Social Workers or Senior Social Workers and a Newly Qualified Social Worker.
Responsibilities
Respond to new referrals from professionals and members of the public. Conduct short‑term assessments and determine when cases can be transferred to other teams.
Qualifications
Qualified social worker who has completed ASYE. Registered with Social Work England. Communicative, able to build, strength‑based relationships and confident in analysis and decision‑making.
