Role - HGV Fleet & Maintenance Coordinator
Annual salary: c£40k.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and reporting activities required by regulatory bodies are carried out to standards.
* Handle all legal/compliance events on rental fleet vehicles, in line with customer operators' licence and DVSA requirements, ensuring minimum disruption to customer operations.
* Plan scheduled legal events such as PMI safety inspection, MOT, brake tests, crane services, tail lift inspections, LOLERS, tacho recalibration, fridge services, FGAS, thorough examinations, vehicle taxing.
* Conduct rental system activity reports for all vehicles, liaising with customers and suppliers, building working relationships.
* Ensure each vehicle on the rental fleet is correctly set up in the in-house rental software system with compliance event warnings and timely reminders.
* Process all documentation, scan, save, and upload in a timely manner onto the in-house rental systems.
* Keep rental systems fully updated with accurate and clear information.
* Compile, interpret and interrogate weekly compliance reports and provide a compliance overview to the Head of Rental.
* Lead on customer breakdowns, logging and deploying to relevant suppliers, raising orders, and managing until vehicle is out of repair.
* Initial DVS registration on all vehicles.
* Ensure new rentals have adequate maintenance schedules with dealer groups/local garages; authorize technical repairs via third‑party repair centres to maintain fleet and trailer maintenance.
* Assist in supplier management and raising purchase orders, ensuring cost control, following procedures and service level agreements.
Skills and Experience
* Excellent HGV technical knowledge and confidence to understand truck repair requirements and cost implications.
* Commercially astute with strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise with all staff levels.
* Organised yet dynamic, with an aptitude to complete tasks right‑first‑time.
* Track record of consistently high performance in a small operational team.
* Experience working within a fast‑moving environment.
