Job Description
3. Process supplier invoices and ensure correct coding for accurate financial reporting
4. Reconcile supplier statements to maintain up-to-date records
5. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable transactions
6. Prepare and process payment runs in a timely manner
7. Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
8. Maintain organised and accurate documentation for auditing purposes
9. Communicate effectively with suppliers to address queries and concerns
10. Support the accounting and finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
11. Experience working within accounts payable or a similar role in the accounting and finance sector
12. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
13. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
14. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
15. Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and suppliers
