CNC Turner – Setter / Operator Location: Bedford
Job Type: Permanent We are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Turner (Setter / Operator) to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role within a busy, precision engineering environment.
Working within a dedicated machine cell, you will be responsible for the setting and operation of CNC lathes, producing high-quality components to tight tolerances.
Set and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components
Conduct in-process and final inspection using measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges)
Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency
Work collaboratively with the production team to meet output targets and deadlines
Proven experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Lathe Setter Operator
Strong background in setting and operating CNC turning machines
Experience using inspection and measurement tools
Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
