Overview
TEMPUR UK Ltd is seeking a Retail Store Manager for the Swindon Outlet Store. The role is 40 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days.
Responsibilities
* Be fully responsible for all aspects of the store including operations, health and safety and security.
* Ensure the store achieves its targets.
* Develop the team to be brand ambassadors of TEMPUR.
* Train the team regularly so that they are fully aware of the benefits of TEMPUR products, the customer journey and sleep ergonomics.
* Identify new opportunities to maximise profits and increase sales within the store.
* Be solely responsible for all daily operations across the store.
* Ensure operational compliance of the store and health and safety, administrative and security directives.
* Monitor staff behaviour, attitude and presentation to reflect TEMPUR values.
* Analyse management information to understand performance shortfalls and market changes and determine a business plan for improvement.
* Understand GDPR rules and ensure data retention is adhered to according to guidelines.
* Ensure all team members are fully trained on TEMPUR products, heritage, values and customer journey. Maintain consistency across the team.
* Onboard new team members effectively.
* Maintain knowledge about the benefits and uses of each TEMPUR product and continually develop product knowledge.
* Organise and manage regular training sessions with the team on the above.
* Drive the store's sales performance to meet and exceed targets.
* Identify ways to drive footfall to the store.
* Implement promotions and marketing activity in store.
* Manage the training app within the store and ensure the team use it to widen knowledge.
* As an active web chat operator, be available to speak to customers online.
* Manage store costs within the agreed budget and apply a commercial eye for detail.
* Schedule management and colleagues’ hours to meet store needs within payroll budgets.
* Manage all stock control processes from in store execution to loss prevention measures; ensure weekly stock takes are completed and submitted.
* Handle customer concerns in a patient and helpful manner and communicate concerns to the Divisional Manager.
* Manage deliveries and organisation of the stockroom.
* Operate cash registers, take and record orders in the system.
* Develop, coach and mentor the management team to improve leadership and accountability to deliver targets on the shop floor.
* Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the store and back office areas.
* Participate in management meetings by contributing fresh realistic ideas.
* Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by the business.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
* At least 3–5 years of management experience gained within retail.
* Customer-focused with a proven high standard of customer service delivery.
* Role model who operates with honesty and integrity.
* Shows innovation and initiative and implements new ideas with confidence.
* Proactive and able to pre-empt store and team issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Enthusiastic, self-confident, well presented, self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
* Willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business.

* The role will be based at Swindon Designer Outlet Shopping Centre.
* The role is 40 hours per week.
