Join Shaping Lives as a Functional Skills Administrator to support our learners through their journey!


Location: Remote

Salary: £25,330 per annum

Working hours: Monday - Friday (36.5 hours)

Job Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract with potential to go permanent


We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Functional Skills Administrator to support the delivery of Functional Skills programmes in English and Maths. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth administration of learner records, exam bookings, compliance documentation, and communication with learners and tutors.


You will work closely with the Functional Skills team, tutors, and awarding organisations to ensure all administrative processes are accurate, compliant, and completed on time.


What You'll Be Doing


* Coordinate functional skills examination bookings and SLC rota
* Liaise with the additional learning support team to arrange access arrangements
* Ensure compliance with invigilation documentation and training
* Schedule functional skills workshops using booking systems (Appointed)
* Work with the quality team to ensure all documentation is uploaded and compliant
* Schedule mock exams and coordinate with personal tutors
* Liaise with the awards team to manage functional skills aims and exemptions
* Any other duty as required by the department to provide a quality service to all stakeholders
* Adhere to GDPR regulations and all internal information and data security policies and procedures
* Maintain and develop positive relationships with all stakeholders
* Proactively promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you are responsible for or come into contact with


What We're Looking For


Qualifications

* GCSE Grade A-C in English and Maths or equivalent
* Level 2 Information, Advice & Guidance (or willingness to acquire)
* Level 3 Business Administration (or willingness to acquire)


Knowledge & Experience

* Experience in an administrative or coordinator role
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic team
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Knowledge of Further Education sector and awarding bodies requirements
* Knowledge of JCQ guidelines
* knowledge of exam board systems such as Walled Garden for C&G

* High levels of data accuracy with a strong attention to detail
* Self-motivated with the ability to plan and use own initiative to achieve targets and deadlines
