Job Description
Our Aylesford site has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Salary: £39,063 per annum.
Working hours: Sunday to Wednesday, 7am-7pm.
The purpose of a Warehouse Supervisor is to lead a team, ensuring good productivity, picking accuracy, and the overall performance of the warehouse to meet customer and company service levels.
Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor
* Supervise warehouse staff to ensure strict adherence to warehouse disciplines.
* Be responsible for achieving daily KPIs to meet targets and dispatch requirements.
* Ensure all operatives are trained in warehouse disciplines of picking and arrange retraining where necessary.
* Maintain company standards of hygiene and housekeeping, taking appropriate action when standards are not met.
* Enforce Company Health & Safety Rules and report issues in line with procedures.
* Identify procedures or systems that could be improved to minimize errors and maximize staff productivity.
* Manage daily team issues, including holiday authorization, cover arrangements, timekeeping, and absence monitoring, with completion of daily timesheets.
* Address performance issues in liaison with Warehouse Managers and HR.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in various warehouse roles, including operating MHE and managing people.
* High attention to detail.
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
* In-depth knowledge of warehouse systems.
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Proficient in MS Office at an intermediate level.
* Effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
